Heading
I love my 9-month-old Ellie to death. But between the constant spit-ups, endless laundry, and general baby funk, our home has developed some subtle, ever-present scents. I’m used to it, but let’s just say I’ve developed a newfound love for non-toxic, clean burning candles and room fragrances. That's how I stumbled upon Flamingo Estate, and its viral tomato candle. What does “walking through a tomato garden” even mean, after all?
Flamingo Estate is a 7-acre estate in Los Angeles that works with dedicated growers and local farms to produce its bath & body, food, and home products. They’re committed to clean and traceable ingredients, but still deliver effective products with amazing fragrances—something my previous go-tos like Aesop and Le Labo just can’t claim. Is it time for Flamingo Estate to take the crown?
Just take a look at those beautiful products! I’m excited to put their best sellers to the test:
- Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle & Hand Soap
- Exfoliating Peppermint Soap Brick
- Manuka Rich Cream
- Heritage Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Read on to find out why Flamingo Estate has become my go-to for premium self-care.
Exploring Flamingo Estate’s Top Products
Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle & Hand Soap 🍅🕯️
The Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle balances fresh, earthy, and herbaceous perfectly. Less ripe tomato and more tomato leaves & herbs in late summer. It's both green and savory, and it effectively neutralizes those unwanted odors—no more lingering baby smells! I love noticing the candle’s delicate 100% essential oil fragrance wafting from my coffee table even when unlit.
The Roma Heirloom Tomato Hand Soap is perfect for the kitchen. A little goes a long way: it lathers beautifully, and leaves my hands feeling soft and nourished. The hydrating blend of avocado and olive oils, combined with the delightful, earthy tomato scent create a little moment of indulgence. I don’t feel the need to immediately moisturize after using this soap – a good thing because it smells SO good.
Exfoliating Peppermint Soap Brick ❄️🧼
It’s been awhile since I’ve used a bar of soap. But if you're a peppermint lover like me, the Exfoliating Peppermint Soap Brick changes everything. It's minty, relaxing, and exfoliating—turning my nighttime skincare routine into a mini spa session.
Exfoliating ingredients include Big Sur sea salt and poppy seeds. And that pleasant peppermint tingling has been working. After just a week, I noticed my skin was smoother—especially my legs. Plus, I’ve noticed an improvement on my stubborn hormonal shoulder acne. This sizable brick is not cheap at $42. But it’s lasted me just about 2 months of daily use.
Manuka Rich Cream 🍯🌸
Put a finger down if you’ve been excited to try a “hydrating” cream, only to find it leaves your skin covered with greasy residue 🙄. The moment I applied Flamingo Estate's Manuka Rich Cream to my hands, I knew I was in for something different. The cream is thick and luxurious, but non-oily. It melted into my skin quickly, with no residue! Almost as important: the scent from Australian Wattle Flowers and Carrot Seed Essential Oil is mild, earthy, and slightly floral. After I apply, I can tell it’s there, but it’s not even close to overpowering.
The cream is packed with natural, nourishing ingredients like Manuka honey and shea butter. Manuka honey not only soothes skin with its rich antioxidants but also strengthens the skin’s natural barrier. I use it primarily on my hands and face. My skin feels smoother, and more hydrated, especially as we enter these cooler months. With daily use, I’ve even reduced some of my slight facial rosacea.
Heritage Extra Virgin Olive Oil 🍈🥗
I’m no chef, but I do know my way around olive oil–and the Heritage Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been a delightful addition to my kitchen. Its vibrant, grassy, and peppery spicy flavor makes it the perfect main character for salad dressing and dipping bread. Still, its low acidity (0.16%) and high smoke point (420°F) make it good for cooking without oxidation. The oil boasts a high polyphenol content (380 mg/kg), supporting heart health.
Sourced from a fourth-generation olive farm in Ojai, California, the oil is made from hand-picked olives that are pressed immediately to preserve freshness and flavor. The blend includes Spanish and Italian varieties such as Columella, Cailletier, and Lechin de Sevilla. I’m not exactly sure what the differences between these are – but they work together beautifully!
Move Over Le Labo and Aesop. Why I Choose Flamingo Estate.
What sets Flamingo Estate apart from other high-end self-care brands like Le Labo and Aesop? It’s their unwavering commitment to using high-quality, clean, and traceable ingredients. Materials are primarily sourced from regenerative farms, and they work with a collective of farmers, horticulturists, and herbalists. That gives me peace of mind, especially as I use products on and around Ellie!

Flamingo Estate’s beautiful packaging, and easy bundling make it a great choice for holiday gifts. You even get the option to add a handwritten note!
