Comfort: Ulike Air 10 Wins with Ice Cooling

IPL pulses typically feel like a light snap from a rubber band—uncomfortable but manageable. However, with Nood, the longer treatment sessions caused the lamp to heat up, leading to skin irritation and rawness during and after use. That might explain why it’s recommended to limit usage to just once a week.

The Ulike Air 10’s Ice Cooling technology made a big difference—almost like having an ice cube glide with the device. The surface of the Air 10 remained cold to the touch throughout each session. That made it comfortable to use the device multiple times a week.

Modes

Ulike’s most powerful mode is SHR, or “Super Hair Removal.” This mode is a quick series of 4 extra strong pulses, meant for really stubborn hair. I used this mode on my underarms, and boy does it work.

Both devices have auto glide features which pulse automatically. I typically used this option when pulsing. However, the Ulike Air 10—with its larger surface area, and ice cooling—was smoother and more comfortable to slide across my skin.
