I suffer from acne and eczema, and sadly, so does my daughter. Treating those ailments, plus the diaper rashes, scraped knees, and bug bites from my other two kids, can be…overwhelming. If only there was one product to treat them all!

That’s exactly why hypochlorous acid caught my eye: it’s antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, clinically proven to treat a variety of skin conditions, safe for kids, and has almost no side effects.¹ Yes, really!

What makes Magic Molecule really magic, though, is that their hypochlorous acid is FDA-cleared and made using a patented electrolysis process. That ensures purity and shelf stability for 2 years.

Does Magic Molecule live up to the hype? Follow along for my experience using it on eczema, acne, and my kids’ boo-boos. I even talked to real customers and a Brown University dermatologist to get the inside scoop! TL;DR - It really is magic.

Magic Molecule is a hypochlorous acid spray with gentle healing and antibacterial properties

Using Magic Molecule

To test out Magic Molecule, I ordered the “Bundle” - one standard (8 oz), and two on-the-go (2 oz) bottles ($37.80 with our TCD discount - smaller versions start at just $22.50).

Magic Molecule’s “bundle” comes in a variety of sizes!

To use, simply spray on the affected area and wait a few seconds to dry. It comes out clear, with no stinging or burning. Magic Molecule recommends 5-7x a day until you see results.

Now, let’s get into our experience with Magic Molecule!

1. Emma’s Eczema 👶

My daughter started showing signs of eczema at 4 months old. And yes, it was heartbreaking. After two months of no results with standard treatments (including hydrocortisone) I started the Magic Molecule regimen. I sprayed it on her cheeks and behind her ears 5 times a day.

After day one, Emma already seemed to be more at ease. She slept soundly that night - a huge relief for her and me!

After just one week, her ears were completely healed.

Emma’s cheeks were a similar story. After a few days, the bright red rashes turned into a faint rosy glow. I can finally pinch those adorable cheeks again!

No more itchy red cheeks!

I was extremely happy with the results: our months-long struggle was solved in a week. No more dry, red, itchy skin!

2. My Eczema 👐

Unfortunately, eczema runs in the family. I struggle with peeling, red, itchy skin on my hands and shoulders - it’s both painful and a big insecurity. Flare-ups are especially bad during summer, when I’m more active and in the sun.

Like Emma, I started the Magic Molecule regimen by spraying the affected areas 5 times each day. Waking up on day 3, my hands felt less prickly and sensitive. By the end of week 1, the chronic itching subsided tremendously.

After one month, my eczema reduced about 90%: almost no more itchy, peeling skin:

Magic Molecule worked great on my eczema

I’m pretty blown away with the results of Magic Molecule on my eczema. As any sufferer knows, it’s a constant struggle. I’ve been able to keep my symptoms at bay with a few sprays daily!

3. My Acne Spots 😷

I’m prone to acne, especially after waxing or shaving. Most recently, I had a couple whiteheads pop up the same day I got my upper lip waxed—ouch.

I sprayed Magic Molecule onto the acne area and spread it with my fingers. After one day of 5 sprays, my swollen lip calmed down, saving me the embarrassment of sporting a bright red mustache the whole day.

I sprayed my acne again before bed, and twice the next day during my morning and evening routines. By Day 3, the whiteheads were completely gone - for me, that usually takes over a week. I now use Magic Molecule as a preventative every day, and my skin has never been more clear.

Adults can use Magic Molecule, too!

4. Bonus Content: Stevie’s Mystery Rash 😰

It wasn’t long before other boo-boos popped up. With the weather getting warmer, my 2-year-old’s been loving her adventures in our Virginia backyard.

Her greatest discovery? A patch of poison ivy we somehow missed. Her reaction was mild (fortunately!), but I reached for my Magic Molecule once again.

I sprayed Stevie’s thigh 7x that day - and it worked wonders! She (mostly) stopped scratching immediately. Two days and 14 more sprays later, the rash no longer itched and was almost completely gone.

Magic Molecule works on poison ivy and other rashes. Day 1 (left) and Day 3 (right).

Other Ways to Use Magic Molecule

Others have used Magic Molecule for bug bites, sunburns, cuts, chapped lips, razor burn, and more. Customers say it all:

😊 “Helpful and soothing for my rosacea and occasional acne flare ups. We keep it on hand for burns and cuts, too.” - Elizabeth K

🪒 “I put it on everything.. face, armpits, razor burn, bug bites, acne... It instantly calms itch, brings redness down quickly, and helps my skin repair faster.” - Britani B

💅 “This continues to be amazing for my cuticles and chapped lips!” - Erin G

🥇 “LIQUID. GOLD. I use this constantly- hangnail, cuts, bug bites, breakouts, you name it, this truly is like magic.”- Amantha A

And Finally, The *Magic* in Magic Molecule

I spoke with skin care expert Dr. Scott Bukoski of Brown Dermatology on how Magic Molecule’s patented product works.

“Many skin conditions are multifactorial in nature. Eczema, acne, and dandruff can all worsen with the inflammation from bacteria and pathogens on the skin,” he explains.

Hypochlorous acid is an antibacterial agent that our bodies produce naturally.” (Yep, we actually produce hypochlorous acid ourselves!). “By reducing the bacteria and pathogens, it helps prevent skin infections and reduces the inflammation associated with those skin conditions.”

That’s why you can use Magic Molecule for so many different issues! And, unlike other sprays, Magic Molecule is produced under FDA regulation.

Additionally, The Solution is safe for kids as young as one month old.

Magic Molecule has just 4 ingredients: ionized water, sodium chloride, hypochlorous acid, and hypochlorite ion

Final Thoughts

Magic Molecule is a true “do-anything” spray. I love that one small bottle takes care of disinfecting, healing, and moisturizing for me and my kids. Our experience backs up the clinical studies and expert opinion of Dr. Bukoski.

Between its use as my daily toner and the go-to solution for my family’s ad hoc afflictions, it’s not an exaggeration to say it’s the best skincare investment I’ve made!
